Description
This small oval brooch has been meticulously created from worked fresh white bread. The bread, which has been tinted with food colouring, has been shaped into a posy of pink roses, blackberries, leaves, and buds. The arrangement has been glued to a card base which has been adhered and sewn to an oval of navy felt. A small safety pin has been sewn to the back. The brooch has been varnished.

Brooches of this type were made by Norma for personal use, presents or for sale. The pin broke before the brooch was able to be worn.
