Description
Handmade green felt purse possibly made from a recycled felt hat. The bag has been stitched together with dark green thread and possibly mended at a later stage using blue thread. There is a brass zip sewn along the top of the bag. The shape of the bag flares out away from the zip to form curved sides with rounded edges. One side has been decorated using cut out shapes of coloured felt which have been sewn onto the green felt bag with embroidery thread.

There are five flower motifs possibly representing hollyhocks, canterbury bells and violets made from increasingly lighter shades of blue, yellow and red felt. There is also a butterfly motif in yellow felt attached by green and yellow embroidery thread to the bag. Inside the bag are two felt staps which were previously attached to the outside of the bag to allow the bag to hang from the wrist.
